The Process
CrowdRating uses an objective evaluation process to generate ratings.
Step 1. Information Request & Review
When your campaign goes live we’ll be in touch to ask for any information you’re sharing with investors, as this isn’t necessarily limited to what’s published in your pitch. It could include more in-depth financial models and projections, recent investor reports or a more sophisticated business plan. Providing more information allows us to prepare a fairer and more in-depth rating.
If you’re going to be raising soon, feel free to get in touch beforehand so we can hit the ground running.
Step 2. Rating Preparation
An analyst will review all the information you’ve provided and perform further desk research and use it to draft your rating.
Step 3. Rating Review
A senior member of the team reviews the rating and discusses it with the analyst to challenge the results and the comments. Further research and data validation is carried out as required until both parties are satisfied with the rating. When appropriate a third opinion is sought from a specialist member of our advisory panel.
Step 4. Regulatory Approval
Once the rating has been approved by the team it is sent to our FCA Authorised compliance providers to ensure that it meets all regulatory requirements.
Step 5. Publication
Once the rating has been approved by compliance, it is published on our website. Shortly after this it we publicise it to our audience.
We hope that you find our ratings fair and accurate. If there’s a material error then let us know ASAP and we’ll amend the rating, pulling it if necessary. If it’s highlighted areas that you think maybe haven’t come across very well or you want to expand on something, all reviewed companies have a ‘Right To Reply’ - just send us a statement and we’ll publish it right there on your rating.
If you’re particularly pleased with your rating, we have a range of licensing options that you can take up to use your rating for your own marketing activities. Please see our Pricing page for more information.
