As a ratings agency we operate under a number of over-riding principles. These are set out below

Transparency

We will always be transparent in our dealings with each other and with third parties.

We insist that information suppled to us for a rating by any company or any other source is also made available to investors on the platform on which the campaign is running.

Honesty

We will always be honest and open in our dealings with each other and with third parties.

Fact-based ratings

Our ratings are always based on the facts we have available at the time we prepare a rating. These facts are derived from the company's own campaign information (which has been verified by the crowd funding platform) and augmented by data we obtain from reputable sources such as Companies House. Where we use facts not supplied by the company, we keep a reference of where they were sourced.

Regulation

We will always ensure that we operate under the appropriate regulatory regimes in the jurisdictions in which we operate.

Use of algorithms

We do not have any "Black Box." Our Ratings Engine uses a systematic scoring methodology that is based on facts applied against a comprehensive checklist of key investment criteria, derived from extensive research and interviews with proven early stage investors.
